Terms of Service
Last updated 27 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Kasha (the "Service"), a platform for managing group savings (chamas). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. This is a template and not legal advice — have it reviewed before launch.
1. Using Kasha
You must be authorised by your savings group to use Kasha on its behalf. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
2. Groups, roles & permissions
Within each chama, members hold roles (such as chairperson, treasurer, secretary or member). Certain actions — like managing members or recording contributions — are restricted to specific roles. You agree to act only within the permissions granted to your role.
3. Contributions & pledges
Kasha records pledges, contributions and payments that you and your group enter. Kasha is a record-keeping and coordination tool; it does not hold, transfer or guarantee funds unless explicitly stated. Your group remains responsible for the accuracy of the information it enters and for settling amounts among its members.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access data belonging to groups you are not a member of, disrupting the Service, or using it for unlawful purposes.
5. Availability & changes
We may update, suspend or discontinue features of the Service. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes to these Terms or to the Service.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kasha is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the Service.
