Privacy Policy
Last updated 27 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Kasha collects, uses and protects information when you use the Service. This is a template and not legal advice — have it reviewed before launch.
1. Information we collect
Account & identity: your name and email, provided through our authentication partner when you log in.
Group data: the chamas you belong to, your role, and the pledges, contributions and payments recorded within your group.
Usage data: basic technical information needed to operate and secure the Service.
2. How we use it
We use your information to provide the Service — showing your standing and your group's, enforcing role-based permissions, and keeping accurate savings records. We do not sell your personal data.
3. Sharing within your group
By design, members of a chama can see each other's pledges and contributions within that group. Data is scoped to the group context you select, and is not shared with other chamas.
4. Authentication
Sign-in is handled by a dedicated authentication service. We receive only the identity information needed to operate your account and rely on secure session cookies to keep you signed in.
5. Data retention & security
We retain your group's records for as long as your group uses the Service, and apply reasonable safeguards to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to your group's record-keeping obligations.
